Principal Human Resource Management Officer - NHC/60/2024

Job Specification:

Duties and Responsibilities will entail:-

  1. Providing input in the development of the HR strategies, policies and procedures;
  2. Undertaking Training Needs Analysis, projections and develop training programs assisting in recruitment,
  3. Consolidating information for payroll processing;
  4. Managing benefits and welfare schemes within the framework of human resource management objectives,
  5. Verifying and maintaining human resource records in an accurate and timely manner;
  6. Coordinating employee counseling services;
  7. Providing secretariat to the Human Resource Advisory Committee; and
  8. Coordinating staff performance appraisal.

Person Specification:

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

  1. At least eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in a Supervisory role;
  2. Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Human Resource Planning, Public\Business Administration, Commerce (HR Option) or equivalent from a recognized Institution;
  3. Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Human Resource Planning, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration or equivalent from a recognized Institution;
  4. Certified Human Resource Professional Certificate (CHRP - K);
  5. Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
  6. Membership to Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
  7. Proficiency in computer application skills;
  8. Fulfills the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
