Manager, Research and Innovation - NHC/54/2024

Job Specification:

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  1. Managing and directing research and innovation programs to meet Corporation’s needs and to capitalize on potential new products.
  2. Developing research protocols/guidelines/frameworks
  3. Preparing NHC Research and Innovation Strategy;
  4. Mobilization of research funding and partnerships;
  5. Planning and direct all aspects of an organization's research and innovation policies, objectives, and initiative;
  6. Developing a framework for identification, evaluation, patenting, designing of prototypes and incubation of innovations;
  7. Oversee coordination of linkage with industry for housing innovations deployment;
  8. Driving innovation and new technologies for new products and production processes
  9. Forging partnerships with relevant research institutions to support housing mandate.

Person Specification:

  1. At least twelve (12) years relevant work experience five (5) of which should have been in a supervisory role;
  2. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Masters Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  4. Member of a recognized professional body and in good standing;
  5. Registered with relevant professional regulatory body;
  6. Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  7. Proficiency in computer applications; and
  8. Fulfilled the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
