Job Specification:

Duties and responsibilities will entail;

  1. i). Initiating the development of research strategy/protocols/guidelines (Housing Research)
  2. Reviewing relevant proposals and prioritizing areas of research
  3. Coordinating the research process
  4. Identifying research funding partnerships
  5. Organizing sensitization for staff on research and innovation strategy/protocols and guidelines.
  6. Drafting reports on research findings and innovations
  7. Initiate the publication and dissemination of information on housing research
  8. Monitoring the implementation of Research strategy and other initiatives
  9. Coordinating dissemination of research findings to relevant stakeholders/Departments
  10. Identifying positive research findings on new products and services at the Corporation.
  11. Developing new ideas, techniques, methodologies, approaches, practices and procedures in data analysis
  12. Initiating development of research strategy/protocols/guidelines
  13. Assisting in preparing large datasets for public access
  14. Developing Research Proposals.
  15. Initiating training, capacity building and technology transfer proposals; ( CAPACITY BUILDING & TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER)
  16. Initiating training, capacity building and technology transfer proposals;
  17. Evaluating training, capacity building and technology transfer proposals;
  18. Preparing proposals on design of training, capacity building and technology transfer programs;
  19. Designing training needs analysis methodologies and instruments;
  20. Conducting and coordinate training programs;
  21. Ensuring effective and timely communication and messaging to trainees; and
  22. Preparing budgets.

Person Specification:

For appointment to this grade, a person must have:

  1. At least eight (8) years work experience, three (3) of which must have been in a supervisory position;
  2. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Masters Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  4. Member of a recognized professional body and in good standing;
  5. Registered with relevant professional regulatory body;
  6. Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  7. Proficiency in computer applications; and
  8. Fulfilled the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
