Job Specification:

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail: -

  1. Developing and implementing Sales and Marketing policies, strategies, plans, manuals and programs;
  2. Undertaking Sales and Marketing activities and campaigns;
  3. Spearheading market research activities, surveys and studies;
  4. Creating programs to enhance awareness on the organization’s products and services;
  5. Establishing and developing relationships with relevant stakeholders to create opportunities for products and services;
  6. Providing market information and customer feedback for development and improvement of products and services;
  7. Managing customer relationships to ensure retention and loyalty;

Person Specification:

For appointment to this grade, a person must have: -

  1. Cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been in a management position;
  2. Bachelor Degree in any of the following fields: Commerce (Marketing Option), Business Administration (Marketing Option), Marketing, Business Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor’s Degree with a Postgraduate diploma in Sales and Marketing from a recognized institution.
  3. Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration (Marketing Option) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  4. Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  5. Membership to relevant professional body where applicable;
  6. Proficiency in computer application.
  7. Shown merit and ability as indicated in work performance and results;
