Job Specification:

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

1. Undertaking general and routine servicing of plant and equipment;
2. Performing cleaning services for plant and equipment and ensure tidiness of the working environment;
3. Collecting, sorting and disposing general workshop/plant waste;
4. Ensuring safe custody of cleaning materials, tools and equipment;
5. Assisting in preparing and servicing machinery and equipment;
6. Moving or carrying office equipment, furniture and ensure orderly arrangement;
7. Operating machinery and equipment;
8. Carrying out repairs and maintenance of the property equipment and accessories such as elevators, escalators, water pumps, fire equipment and generators;
9. Conducting inspection of facilities to identify, confirm and report any maintenance related issues or potential problems for escalation and action;
10. Undertaking construction works, repairs and maintenance of building and infrastructure;
11. Working with the immediate supervisor to requisition for repairs as required
12. Assisting in preparing payment memos for contractors and utility bills;
13. Addressing minor tenant complaints;
14. Booking outside contractors for repair;
15. Acting as the caretaker of the estate;
16. Preparing repair and maintenance reports.

Person Specification:

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:-

1. At least four (4) years relevant work experience;
2. National Trade Test II certificate in the area of specialization or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
3. Proficiency in computer applications;
4. Fulfils the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
